Welding

Welding students will learn skills and knowledge to effectively perform cutting and welding applications used in the construction industry or advanced manufacturing industry. Students develop skills in safety, reading drawings, identifying and using joint designs, and laying out parts for fabrication. Students learn basic skills in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and quality control methods. Students will have the opportunity earn an AWS certification upon completion of the program.
