Cosmetology

Students have the opportunity to earn their South Carolina Cosmetology License after completing the Cosmetology program. Students start in the 11th grade and will complete the program at the end of their 12th grade year. Students learn all of the necessary skills to become a licensed cosmetologist in the state of South Carolina. Students learn the book knowledge and are able to put it into practice in the lab area with hands on learning. The standards and guidelines are established by the South Carolina Labor, Licensing and Regulation Cosmetology Board. The students will learn sanitation and safety, professionalism, salon management, professional hair care skills, professional nail care skills, as well as chemistry, anatomy, and physiology of the face, head, arms and hands.
