Since 1969, the Barnwell County Career Center has prepared students for success beyond high school by connecting academic learning with technical skills and real-world experiences. BCCC serves as a place where students from across Barnwell County can explore their interests, identify career goals and gain the confidence and experience needed to take their next steps.

Students can choose from career pathways in agriculture education, automotive technology, building construction, cosmetology, criminal justice, cybersecurity, health science, marketing, mechatronics, mechanical design and welding. Each program combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning in specialized labs and workspaces led by knowledgeable instructors with experience in their fields.

Through industry-recognized credentials, work-based learning, youth apprenticeships and connections with local employers, students can develop practical skills that open doors to employment, technical training, college and military service. These experiences also help students understand workplace expectations while strengthening communication, teamwork, problem-solving and professionalism.

Learning at BCCC extends beyond technical instruction. Career and Technical Student Organizations, including FFA, provide opportunities for leadership, service, travel and competition at the regional, state and national levels.
